Coombe - Surrey & South London French Lesson - Parlez French Leatherhead

welcome...

I am currently on maternity leave until Easter 2009. However, please email me if you would like to arrange lessons for later in the year, or revisit the website at a later date.

London based French National, fully qualified teacher:

I am a French national. I am fully qualified in England as a teacher, and have been resident here in London for several years.

Do you want to start learning French?

Do you speak French but wish to improve?

Do you want to prepare for an exam?

Are you buying a house in France?

I have worked in both the independent and state sectors, from primary up to A Level. In addition I tutor individually at home a range of people of all ages and of all levels.

Enthusiastic and dynamic:

Lots of people complain that learning a language is difficult, but I believe that anyone can do it if they are taught in a way tailored to their abilities and goals. The key is how the lessons are delivered, and above all I try to make the learning accessible, dynamic and FUN!

I love the French language, and I love helping people to improve in it, and I have a very enthusiastic approach based on the four skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing (using, for example, a range of books, CDs, role-plays and newspapers).

Flexible:

Everything is about what the individual wants!
Your individual timetable of lessons will be structured around the amount of time you can commit and what you want to achieve. I appreciate that it is often difficult to find time in a busy schedule and that is why I am very flexible and can adapt to your needs and wishes.

Costs:

30 minutes:£18
1 hour:£30
A course of 10 lessons:£270

What some of my clients say...

"I have tried several structured courses and evening classes, but my hectic lifestyle and work hindered my progress. Now, with Anna's flexible approach, learning French has become fun and not a chore."

Andy Dunn, Hampton

"All my life I have struggled to become fluent in a second language. I have been having conversation with Anna for several months. I am very pleased with the arrangement, because Anna has listened to my ideas about how I learn best and given me just the sort of practice I envisaged.

She is always extremely encouraging, I never feel criticised when I (frequently) make awful elementary errors. She has introduced me to several new ideas from her teaching experience too! I think most people would love to work with her, because she loves working with people."

Pat Pratelli, Teddington

"I have learnt so much in a short time with Anna, and I've had fun learning as well, because she makes the lessons relaxed and enjoyable."

Amanda Donadille, Teddington

"Two months before my GCSE exam, I took up lessons with Anna. I had almost nearly lost hope of getting a decent grade and was very anxious at sitting the exams. Anna helped me change that around. I gained confidence from her lessons, developed a good accent and after, felt I had learnt more French vocab with her than I had in my two years of studying at school!

I managed to jump a grade within a very short space of time because of Anna's genuine interest in my French and her positive, fun yet packed lessons which enabled me to achieve my full potential

Thanks Anna!"

Jay, Teddington
